With over 30 years of dedicated experience in the funeral industry, Daniel J Mellor has built a reputation for providing compassionate and personalised care to families during their most difficult times. Daniel’s journey began with a deep commitment to serving the community, which led to the establishment of his first funeral home in Gatley in 2014. This initial venture was driven by a desire to offer a more personal and supportive service, one that truly honours the wishes and needs of each family.
Building on the success of the Gatley location, Daniel expanded his services by opening a second funeral home in Urmston last year. This growth reflects his ongoing dedication to offering high-quality, caring funeral services to a wider community and families.

Daniel is a proud member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors (BIFD) and holds the prestigious Diploma in Funeral Directing (DipFD). This qualification is a testament to his extensive knowledge and commitment to the highest standards of service in the funeral industry. The DipFD is designed for professionals who have previously completed the Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration or the new NAFD Funeral Arranging and Administration certificate, ensuring that Daniel's expertise is both broad and deep.
Our fleet of Jaguar vehicles ensures that we can offer a dignified and elegant service, reflecting the respect and care we believe every funeral deserves.

Our Chapels
Our Chapels offer a safe and quiet place for families to say their farewells. Designed with care and sensitivity, this serene space provides the privacy and peace needed during such a difficult time. Here, families can spend precious moments with their loved ones in an environment that is both comforting and respectful, allowing for a personal and dignified goodbye.
Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5pm. Saturday & Sunday Closed.
In 2023 we opened our second branch to extend our care across the south and southwest of Manchester. We are available 24 hours a day, supporting and caring for families in need.
